Geemarc CL8400

The Geemarc CL8400 is an advanced clamshell phone with audio boost and tone control. This makes it exceptionally loud and easy to hear.

Mechanically it’s nice, the hinge and shape in particular. The button sizes are good, and the white on black text easy to read.

There is a torch accessed through a pressing and holding the volume up key.
Three keys directly below the screen can be assigned to speed dials for the people you call most.

An emergency button on the back can be set to call six people in turn when it is slid across.

All the functions of the phone are laid out in a colourful grid. You choose which function you want and press the key above the green ‘dial’ button to select it.

While the phone uses the new industry standard micro-USB charger socket which means there is an excellent choice of car chargers and accessories available there is also a desk charger which is much less fiddly to use.

Supplied SIM-Free to take SIM cards from Orange, T-Mobile, O2, Vodafone, Tesco, Virgin and Giff-Gaff.
